Step aside Mary-Lou, I think I have found my new favourite highlighter- and what makes it even better is that it retails at only £5. Wowee.
Normally, I struggle with finding a good highlighter that is ‘blinding’ on my extremely pale skin. I don’t warm to gold-toned highlighters very well as I find that they don’t go well with my skin tone. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Mary-Lou-Miniver and will rave about it until the day I die, but I think I may have found my new favourite alternative.
After watching Nikki Tutorial’s video on, ‘the best blinding highlighters,’ I noticed that she mentioned a highlighter which was from MUA. Now, I am not the biggest fan of MUA as a brand (I know, shocker), but I decided to give this highlighter a g(l)0(w)… see what I did there?
I managed to pick up MUA’s, “Strobe and Highlight” product from my local Superdrug despite the fact that it was sold out online… and boiiii I was impressed.
The highlighter comes with two sections- one with a powder highlight, and one with a cream highlight. Me and cream highlighters don’t get on the best, so I stuck to the powder section of the product. From the first swatch, I could just tell how *incredibly* pigmented the highlighter was- and then came the swatch.
Normally with swathes, I like to rub the product and see how well it would stay on my face with a bit of ‘wear and tear’ throughout the day- once again, I wasn’t disappointed. And then, of course, the highlighter on the face test. Honestly, a couple of swipes on your brush and it’s there. Poppin’ in it’s own little world. What makes this highlighter even better is that it has pink undertones, so it fits perfectly with my extremely fair skin.
Conclusion: Would I re-purchase this highlighter? Definitely *cue heart eyes emoji.* At such an affordable price, this ‘handy highlighter’ is also travel friendly, incredibly pigmented, and most importantly highlights my face like no other highlighter I own (it even trumps my Make-Up Revolution one *another shocker*).
This highlighter is from the, ‘MUA Luxe’ range and is available to purchase in stores now, even though it is currently sold out online.
Love and happiness always,
